Tata Sierra Or Tata Safari – What Could Be The Name For Tata’s 7-seater SUV?

Next-gen Tata Safari is expected to be based on Harrier’s OMEGA platform, while Sierra was India’s first compact SUV.

We informed you earlier that Tata Motors is working on a 7-seater version of the Harrier SUV, which is expected to be launched in late 2019. The 7-seater model is most likely to carry a new nameplate and will be slightly different than the Harrier in terms of looks. In recent times, we have witnessed the reincarnation of popular brands like Suzuki Baleno and the new Hyundai Santro. Maruti will also re-introduce the ZEN nameplate, while Honda will soon re-launch the popular Civic nameplate. We believe that Tata should bring back the Sierra nameplate in India. And, what could be better than a 7-seater SUV with premium features and modern design to hold this iconic brand badge. Another name that comes to our mind is the Tata Safari. If reports are to be believed, Tata is also planning a new generation Safari. This seven-seater model could be called the next-gen Safari, though Tata hasn’t revealed anything on the same. The new model will be based on Tata’s new OMEGA platform.
