Tata Sierra Off-Road Model Looks Rugged – Rendered

Tata Sierra Off-road Rendered

Tata Sierra, the iconic SUV brand from the home-grown carmaker, made its comeback in an electric SUV concept avatar at this year’s Auto Expo. The company has already hinted that the Sierra concept might enter into production in future. While the concept was pure electric vehicle, its production version might also be offered with petrol and diesel powertrains.

We have seen multiple renderings showing the Sierra’s possible production design. Though, the latest one shows the proper off-road version of the SUV. Based on the concept, the rendered Tata Sierra off-road model carries a new grille with the signature logo sitting in the middle and newly-designed LED headlamps at the front end.

Features such as a proper skid plate, large off-road tyres, a snorkel and a winch further enhance its off-road capabilities. It has a roof integrated carrier for storing purpose such as spare tyre, luggage, tool box, etc. Compared to the original concept, the rendered Tata Sierra off-road model sits slightly higher from the ground. This makes it more compatible to off-road terrains.

The SUV’s production-ready version will underpin the OMEGA ARC modular platform that has already been used in the Harrier and the upcoming Gravitas SUV. Its length is likely to be above 4.3 meters.

The company will also bring in the BS6 Tata Hexa Safari, Harrier petrol and Altroz turbo petrol by the end of this year. The Tata HBX concept based micro SUV has been confirmed to launch in the first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
