Tata Punch – Most Value For Money Variant

Debuted in October 2021, the Tata Punch has recently completed a one lakh unit production milestone, becoming one of the most selling SUVs in the country. Over the last six months, the average monthly sales of the Tata Punch were around 10,000 units. This massive demand for the Punch can be attributed to its attractive SUV-like styling and decent price range.

So if you’re also interested in buying the Tata Punch and confused about which variant will offer the most value, we’re here to help you.

Tata Punch diesel launch price

Let’s start with the specifications: –

Engine1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol
No of Cylinders3
Max Power86PS
Max Torque113Nm
Gearbox Options5-speed MT / AMT
Claimed Fuel Efficiency18.97 kmpl (MT), 18.82kmpl (AMT)

The Tata Punch gets the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that also powers the Tiago, Tigor and Altroz. Yes, the brand has made some changes to improve its refinement, but still, there are vibrations, and it gets pretty noisy past 4,000rpm. Thanks to its good initial response, it’s indeed a good city commuter but feels underpowered on highways, especially in full-load conditions.

It is expected to get turbocharged petrol and CNG powertrain options in the near future.

The Tata Punch is big enough to offer ample space for four adults inside the cabin. The seats are too well cushioned, and you get an adequate amount of knee room, headroom and foot room, even for tall passengers. The boot space is also reasonably big for carrying three to four medium size bags/suitcases.
