Tata Punch Launch Date Is October 18, 2021; Variant-Wise Features

The much-awaited Tata Punch micro SUV will be launched in the Indian market on October 18, 2021. Interested buyers can pre-book the SUV online or via dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. Estimated to be priced around Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.3 lakh, the new Punch will rival the likes of the Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and other B-segment hatchbacks.

The new Tata Punch will be offered in 4 trim levels – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. The subcompact SUV will also be offered with Rhythm and Dazzle customisation options. It is based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture, which also underpins the Altroz hatchback.

The subcompact SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which also powers the Altroz, Tigor and the Tiago. This engine produces maximum power of 85bhp at 6,000 and a peak torque of 113Nm at 3,300rpm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. The small SUV offers two drive modes – Eco and City.

The AMT version is equipped with segment-first ‘Traction-Pro Mode’ which improves driving on low traction surfaces. The small SUV also gets cruise control and idle start stop system. The small SUV also gets Tata’s iRA connected car tech as an optional on the top-spec Punch Creative variant. The system offers various features like remote vehicle monitoring, live vehicle diagnostics, integrated maps for navigation, and security alerts.

Punch Pure MT variant – this variant comes with front power windows, tilt adjustable steering wheel and 15-inch steel wheels. It gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, brake sway control, central locking, speed alert, seat-belt reminder as standard. With Rhythm pack, customer can add audio system with 4-speakers and multi-functional steering wheel.

Punch Adventure MT/AMT – this variant has all the features that are accessible in Pure variant. Adding to it, the Adventure model has audio system with 4-inch display and 4-speakers, multi-functional steering wheel, remote key lock/unlock, powered ORVMs, power windows, follow-me home headlamps, USB charging socket, etc.

With Rhythm pack, customer can add a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a rear view camera.

Punch Accomplished MT/AMT (+ Adventure) – it gets a Harman-sourced 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front fog lamps, reverse camera, keyless entry & go, cruise control, height adjustable drivers’ seat and traction Pro-mode. It rides on differently styled 15-inch steel wheels.

This variant comes with Dazzle Pack as an optional, which adds 16-inch diamond cut alloys, projector headlamps and LED DRLs.

Punch Creative MT/AMT (+ Accomplished) – This model gets projector headlamps, automatic headlamps and wipers, LED DRLs, semi-digital instrument console, climate control, rear wiper & washer, cooled glovebox and other. THis model also gets IRA connected car tech as an optional.
