Tata Peregrin Sedan Rendering

Tata Motors is yet to start testing the upcoming mid-sized sedan, which is reportedly under development. Several media reports claim that Tata has started development work of the upcoming mid-sized sedan codenamed X452. Internally called Tata Peregrin, the upcoming mid-sized Tata sedan will take on the likes of the upcoming Honda City, new Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

The Tata Peregrin will be developed on the ALFA modular platform, which underpins the Altroz premium hatchback and the upcoming HBX micro SUV. A new rendering image of the upcoming sedan has been released on the Internet, which shows the possible design. As a reminder, the Altroz was codenamed as X451 during the development stage.

Tata Peregrin Rendered

The Tata Peregrin sedan will be designed on the Tata’s new 2.0-litre IMPACT design language, which we have already seen the Harrier and the Altroz. The design of the sedan is likely to be inspired by the Tata’s E-Vision concept electric sedan that debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The rendering is also inspired by the E-Vision concept. It is expected that the production version of the sedan will receive a notchback-inspired rear design.

The front design of the upcoming Tata Peregrin sedan will look like the Altroz. It will have slimmer grille with 3D Humanity Line, sleek headlamps with LED DRLs, sportier bumper, and diamond-cut alloys. In terms of features, the sedan will have LED headlamps, Harman sourced music system, automatic headlamps, LED tail-lights, sunroof, etc. It is expected to be powered by a new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which also powers the Nexon. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel model will get the 1.5-litre unit producing 108bhp and 260Nm of torque.
