The Tata Nexon has been one of the best-selling SUVs of the country. However, the new Maruti Brezza had reached the top spot in August and September 2022 sales. The Nexon has regained its top spot in the list of top selling SUVs in the month of October 2022. Tata Motors has managed to sell 13767 units of the Nexon compact SUV last month as against 10,096 units in October 2021.

The Tata Nexon has registered a year-on-year sales growth of 36 percent. It is the only SUV to be offered in petrol, diesel and electric option. In fact, Tata is also preparing CNG Version of the Nexon SUV that has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The new model is available with two ICE engines – a 1.2L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo-diesel. The Nexon EV is offered in two battery pack options – 32kWh with Prime and 40kWh with EV Max.
The Hyundai Creta is at the second position in the list of top selling SUVs in October 2022. Hyundai sold 11880 units of the Creta as against 6,455 units in the same month last year, reporting a year-on-year sales growth of 84 per cent. Hyundai will also launch the new Creta facelift in the country in early 2023, most probably at Auto Expo. The new model is likely to receive ADAS tech, 360 degree camera and updated infotainment system.
The Tata Punch subcompact SUV remains strong in terms of sales for the homegrown automaker. The company sold 10,982 units of the Punch in October 2022 as against 8,453 units in the same month last year, reporting a year-on-year sales growth of 30 percent. The small SUV is reportedly to receive an electric version in 2023.
After conquering the segment for last 2 months, the Maruti Brezza slipped to 4th position in October 2022. The company sold 9,941 units of the Brezza as against 8,032 units in the same month last year, reporting a year-on-year sales growth of 24%.
