Tata Motors has launched a new Jet Edition line-up for its SUV line-up including the Nexon, Harrier and Safari. The new editions join the Dark and Kajiranga editions of the Tata SUVs. The Tata Nexon Jet Edition is launched at a starting price of Rs 12.13 lakh, while the Harrier and Safari Jet editions are priced at Rs 20.90 lakh and Rs 21.35 lakh respectively.
The new editions are based on the top-spec XZ+ trim of the SUVs. Similar to the Dark and the Kajiranga editions, the new Jet Editions come with cosmetic design changes along with addition of new features. The mechanics of the new SUVs continue to remain the same.
Tata Jet Editions Variant-Wise Prices
While the Safari Jet Edition is priced in the range of Rs 21.45 lakh to Rs 22.65 lakh, the Harrier Jet Edition is tagged between Rs 20.90 lakh and Rs 22.20 lakh. The Tata Nexon Jet range starts at Rs 12.13 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.08 lakh. Compared to the regular variants, the prices of the new Jet Edition increased by up to Rs 50,000 (depending on the variant & model).
New Colour Scheme & Added Features
All the Jet Editions come with the new “Starlight” dual-tone paint scheme with bronze body and a silver roof. The new Tata Safari, Harrier and Nexon Jet Editions come with blacked-out alloy wheels, and silver skid plates at the front and rear respectively. Inside the cabin, the new editions come with new dual-tone white and black scheme with a new bronze treatment and stitching.
The Tata Safari and the Harrier Jet Editions come with new active safety features such as a driver drowsiness alert, panic brake alert and an after-impact braking. Adding to it, the new Safari Jet Edition comes with USB C-type charger in all rows and new head restraints. On the flip side, the Harrier Jet is equipped with electronic parking brake and all-four-disc brakes.
The Tata Nexon Jet Edition now comes with wireless charger. Except for this feature and new colour scheme, the Nexon Jet Edition looks similar to the XZ+ trim of the standard model.
Engine Options
The Nexon Jet Edition is available with two engine options – a 120bhp, 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 110bhp, 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
The Tata Safari and Harrier Jet Editions are powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which is sourced from FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobile). This engine is capable of producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
