Tata Nexon, Harrier and other cars to get expensive by up to Rs 25,000

Tata Motors has announced to hike the prices of its passengers cars up to Rs 25,000, starting April 2019

The homegrown automaker, Tata Motors has officially announced that it will be increasing the prices of its passenger vehicles. The Tata cars prices will go up to Rs 25,000, starting April 2019. This hike in price is due to rising input costs and external economic conditions.

According to Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, “The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider this price increase. We are confident of maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming months on the back of our robust portfolio consisting of segment-leading products like TIAGO, HEXA, TIGOR, NEXON and the HARRIER.” Also See – Upcoming Tata cars in India

Jaguar Land Rover has also announced a price hike of 4 per cent on all its products. Tata Motors’ new breed of cars including Tiago, Nexon, Harrier and Tigor are the most popular cars currently on sale in India. The company is also planning to launch a range of new cars including the Altroz premium hatchback and the Cassini 7-seater SUV.

While the Altroz premium hatchback is scheduled to be launched in the mid-2019, the Cassini will arrive in the second half of 2019. The homegrown automaker is also working on the next-generation Nexon, Tigor and Tiago. Tata will also introduce the Altroz electric vehicle in 2020.
