Tata Nexon EV – Rotary Knob For Gearbox, Flat Bottom Steering
The new spy picture of the Tata Nexon EV electric SUV reveals some interesting interior details of the vehicle. The electric iteration of the subcompact SUV will feature a rotary knob for the transmission offering 4 modes – R (Reverse), N (Neutral), D (Drive) and S (Sport). The Tata Nexon EV will come with a Harman-sourced infotainment system with a rear view camera and park assist feature. The electric SUV will also offer an automatic climate control, push-button start with a smart key and a wearable key. Features such as Tata’s ConnectNext connectivity suite with voice command and multiple app based features might be reserved for the top-end trim.
Design and styling of the Tata Nexon EV will be similar to the Nexon facelift that will go on sale early next year. It will sport full-LED automatic headlamps with LED DRLs (daytime running lights), power folding wing mirrors and rain sensing wipers. Compared to the Nexon facelift, the Nexon EV will have 6mm lower ground clearance.
Power system of the Tata Nexon EV will include a 28.8kWh battery pack delivering power to a 95kW/254Nm motor. The carmaker claims that the electric SUV will deliver a range of 300km. The vehicle’s battery will support the standard AC charger and DC fast charger.
