Tata Nexon EV Launch On 28th January; Gets 35 Connected Features
Tata Motors will launch the Nexon EV on 28th January, 2020. The electric SUV will come in three variants – XM, XZ+, XZ + LUX – packed with a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery pack powers an electric motor that’s good enough for 129bhp and 245Nm. The Tata Nexon EV is claimed to deliver a range over 300km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 9.9 seconds.
The Nexon EV’s battery pack can be charged up to 80% in 1 hour via a DC fast charger. Using a standard 15 ampere AC charger, it can be charged fully in 8 to 9 hours. The electric SUV also comes with an energy regeneration function. The Tata Nexon EV will offer 35 smart connected features as a part of the ZConnect app suite.
The new ZConnect app offers some exclusive EV features including charging history, nearest charging stations, available range, remote monitoring of the current charge levels and more. It also enables to remotely control several features such as lock/unlock, remote horn activation, remote lamp control and remote cooling function. The Tata Nexon EV’s ZConnect app provides location based services including route navigation, find my car, sharing Live location, and more. Furthermore, it offers safety and security by sending instant crash notifications, an emergency SOS and panic notifications, when necessary.
In case the car is stolen, the user can remotely immobilize his/her car by using the dedicated 24X7 call centre service. The ZConnect app has been designed to give over 20 alert services. It also enables user to seat a Geo fence or time fence limits and set a custom speed. The application also monitors and analyzes driving behavior and notifies about sudden accelerations, harsh braking, accidents, etc.
