Tata Nexon Electric SUV Deliveries Begin
In January 2020, the home-grown carmaker introduced the Tata Nexon electric SUV at starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh. Now, the company has begun deliveries of its first batch across the nation. While the entry-level XM variant is available at Rs 13.99 lakh, the XZ+ and XZ+ Lux trims are priced at Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. There are three colour options to choose from – Moonlit Silver, Signature Teal Blue and Glacier White.
For power, the Tata Nexon EV uses a permanent magnet AC motor powered by a liquid-cooled Lithium-Ion battery. It’s a IP67 certified battery which means it’s resistant to water and dust. The electric SUV has a 30.2 kWh battery delivering a maximum range of over 312km on a single charge. It pushes out a peak torque of 245Nm and is capable to achieve 0 to 100kmph in 9.9 seconds.
One can charge its battery up to 80% in 60 minutes via a fast charger and 8 hours via a home charger. The electric SUV offers a top speed of 150km. Based on the Impact design 2.0 language, the Tata Nexon EV carries some interesting design elements such as the signature tri arrow wide central grille, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, a Humanity Line running across the headlamps and lots of chrome treatment.
The top-end variant of the electric SUV offers a 7-inch dashtop touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice command, smartphone-based navigation, a Harman sound system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, video playback, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and rear parking camera with reverse park assist. It also comes with a specially designed ZConnect application.
