Official bookings for the Tata Nexon AMT have been commenced across the nation. Interesting buyers can place pre-orders by paying an initial sum of Rs 11,000. While the launch date is yet to be announced by the carmaker, it is likely to launch early next month. To be available on the range-topping XZA+ trim, the Nexon AMT with HyprDrive Self-shift gears will be first diesel car in its segment to offer automatic gearbox option.
Tata Nexon AMT HyprDrive will also be India’s first AMT vehicle to offer Multi-drive modes – Eco, City and Sport. Besides the new gearbox, the SUV will receive a new Etna Orange colour scheme with a Sonic Silver dual-tone roof. Similar to the regular mode, the AMT version of the SUV will come with both petrol and diesel powertrains. The petrol model will feature the same 1.2-litre turbo Revotron engine that’s good for 108bhp and 170Nm of torque. The diesel unit will be the 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq motor churning out 108bhp with 260Nm of torque. Transmission on offer will be a 6-speed AMT unit.
