Tata Motors unveils Zest, Nexon and Modified Safari Storme at 2014 IIMS

At the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show, Tata Motors has unveiled new Zest compact sedan, Nexon mini-SUV concept and Modified Safari Storme. The modified Safari Storme is presented just to attract more visitors at Tata’s stall.

Modified Tata Safari Storme: The front fascia of the modified Storme gets some styling upgrades which include massive front bumper with skid guards, LED elements for the headlamps and fog lamps. Another styling upgrade is the positioning of lights on the roof rails. This matte black Storme gets large chrome wheels and silver covers for the door handles. Its rear profile gets new bumper and not so-appealing taillight cluster. The interiors of the modified Storme has dual-tone black and white scheme for the dashboard and seats. Its steering wheel, gearlever, door handles and rear AC vents get white plastic inserts. The Indonesian-spec Storme gets the same 2.2-litre 4-cylinder VariCOR diesel engine producing 138bhp and 320Nm of torque.

Tata Nexon Mini-SUV

Tata Nexon SUV concept: Tata Motors unveiled the Nexon mini-SUV concept at the on-going 2014 Indonesian motor show. First unveiled at the Delhi Motor Show back in February, the Nexon concept is a sub-4 metre SUV and rides on 17-inch wheels. It measures 4m in length, 1.73m in width and 1.6m in height. It is based on the thoroughly modified X1 platform and is powered by a new three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol unit that produces 110PS and a peak torque of 170Nm. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed automatic gearbox. It is claimed to attain a top speed of 180kmph and returns an impressive mileage of 17.6kmpl.

Tata Zest Revotron

Tata Zest Revotron: The all-new Tata Zest compact sedan has been unveiled at the 2014 Indonesian Motor Show. Based on the thoroughly modified X1 platform, the Zest compact sedan measures 3,995mm in length, 1,706mm in width and 1,570mm in height, and it has a large wheelbase of 2,470mm. It comes with a large ground clearance of 175mm. The gasoline version of the compact sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron engine that is capable of producing 89bhp of top power and 140Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The Revotron engine also offers multi-drive modes to buyers- Sports, Economy and City.
