Tata HBX, Gravitas, Harrier Petrol SUVs Caught Together

Tata Motors is ready to roll out a range of new models in coming months. The lineup will include the HBX concept based mini SUV, Gravitas 7-seater SUV, Harrier petrol and Altroz turbo-petrol. Save for the Altroz’s more powerful petrol version, the other 3 SUVs have been caught testing together. Talking about the Tata HBX, the micro SUV is slated to launch early next year. Reports suggest that its production model will be named ‘Tata Hornbill’.

Sporting Tata’s Impact 2.0 design philosophy, the Tata HBX mini SUV will be the brand’s second model to be based on the Alfa platform. Initially, it will be made available with petrol engine only. It might come with a 1.2L Revotron turbo motor paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline unit pushes out a peak power of 86bhp and 113Nm of torque. Some of its key features might include Harman audio system, a touchscreen infotainment system, multiple airbags, upright stance, blacked out alloys and a raked rear windscreen.

Tata HBX Gravitas Harrier Petrol SUVs spied

Tata Gravitas 7-seater SUV broke cover in its concept form at 2020 Auto Expo. It was scheduled to launch during this festive season. Though, the latest reports say that the SUV will hit showrooms sometime next year. Based on Omega Arc architecture, the Gravitas will be offered with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine delivering a peak power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.

The Tata Harrier petrol is likely to the next big launch from the home-grown carmaker in the country. While its official launch date and details are yet to be announced, the Harrier petrol is reported to see a release just before 2020 festive season. The model will be powered by Tata’s all-new 1.5L turbo direct injected engine offering power around 150bhp. It will be initially offered with manual gearbox only. Rumour has it that the Harrier petrol automatic will come at a later stage with a paddle shifter and a Sport mode.
