We informed you earlier that the long-awaited Tata Harrier SUV will go on sale in India in January 2019. The 5-seater SUV’s exterior images have already been officially revealed. Based on the H5X concept, the production-ready model is likely to debut in December. Ahead of the official unveil, clear interior images of the SUV have hit the web-world.

The interior of the new Harrier SUV is not sharing resemblance to the H5X Concept. It comes with a dual-tone dark grey & brown dual-tone colour scheme. The SUV features a large 8.8-inch floating-type touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other design highlights include tan seat upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, coloured MID, and a monotone back-lighting for the instrument console. For rear occupants, the Tata Harrier will offer folding centre armrest with cupholders, adjustable headrests, two AC bents, two USB ports and bottle-holders. The SUV also has an in-built cooled storage area under the front armrest and smartphone storage space for all passengers. It comes equipped with aircraft-inspired pull-up/push-down type parking brake lever.

The Tata Harrier is built on the OMEGA ARC modular platform, which is based on the JLR’s D8 architecture. The SUV will also mark the debut of brand’s new IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN Philosophy. It is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is sourced from Fiat Chrysler Automobile. This engine is capable of producing 140bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
