Tata Harrier Official Bookings To Open From 15th October – Report
The launch of the Tata Harrier SUV is scheduled to happen in January 2019.
Official bookings for the upcoming Tata Harrier premium SUV will begin from October 15, claims a report. The initial pre-booking amount will be Rs 30,000. While the launch of the SUV will take place in January 2019, deliveries are likely to start within first month of its launch. Interestingly, the Harrier will have special space in the authorized Tata showrooms with themed off-road background display.
The especially trained sales executives will be appointed to give a brief about the Harrier to potential customers. In fact, the select mechanics will be trained and employed for the Harrier’s service. The carmaker has already revealed engine details of its upcoming 5-seater premium SUV.

The all-new Tata Harrier will source its power from a 2.0L, four-cylinder Kryotec diesel engine that will be compliant to the upcoming BSVI emission norms. Claimed to be inspired from Cryogenic rocket engine that uses less pollutant fuels, the new oil burner has been designed on the low friction valve train platform. The Kryotec motor features an Advanced EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) and eVGT (electric variable geometry turbocharger). The company will also offer an exhaust after treatment system on the SUV. The new diesel unit will deliver power worth 140bhp. Transmission options on offer will include a 6-speed manual and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic unit.

In the premium -seater SUV space, the upcoming Tata Harrier will take on the likes of Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. While official prices will be revealed at its launch, speculations suggest that it might be priced between Rs 12 lakh (for the base model) – Rs 18 lakh (for the top-spec variant).
