The recently uploaded video flaunts the water wading capabilities of the Tata Harrier.

Tata Motors continues to tease its highly-anticipated Harrier premium SUV, which is slated to launch early next year. While the previous video shows the endurance test and its engineering, the recently uploaded video flaunts the water wading capabilities of the vehicle. The Tata Harrier is the production-ready H5X concept that has been built on the all-new OMEGA-ARC platform derived from the Land Rover D8 architecture.

Commenting on its water wading test, Tata says, “Born of Land Rover’s D8 Architecture, the OMEGARC has sculpted the Tata Harrier into an incisive beast that can cut through any obstacle with panache and poise. Witness its might as it aces the water wading test”.

The Tata Harrier previews the “styling, technology and performance capabilities” of the company’s new-generation vehicles. Interestingly, the Tata Harrier will borrow its powertrain from one of its arch rivals – the Jeep Compass. That means, the power for the SUV will come from the same 2.0L Multijet turbocharged diesel motor that’s tuned for generating two power outputs – 148bhp with 350Nm and 170bhp with 350Nm. Though, the Harrier will come with the 148bhp oil burner paired to a ZF-sourced 9-speed automatic transmission. The 170bhp version is likely to be used for the1,431 comments awaiting moderation Harrier 7-seater model. For performing drivetrain duties, the SUV will get the 2WD (two-wheel-drive) and 4WD (four-wheel-drive) options. Official engine details will be revealed near its launch.
