With the launch of MG Hector, the competition has become fiercer in the premium SUV segment. As a result of this, Jeep has decided to give a mid-life update to the Compass SUV and Tata Motors is offering discount on the Harrier SUV. Launched on 23rd January 2019, the Tata Harrier is now being sold with an exchange benefit of Rs 35,000 for the very first time.

Tata Motors is among the car manufactures that have been gravely affected by the slowdown in the auto sector. In August, the home-grown carmaker registered a massive sales decline of 58% in the domestic passenger vehicle space with 7316 units against 18,420 units of the same month last year. With the onset of the festive season, the company aims to boost its sales with special editions and offers. Tata Motors recently launched the Harrier Dark Edition with 14 new upgrades. The company believes that the financial package announced by the government will help in improving market liquidity and to reduce the ownership cost.
