Tata Harrier, the compact SUV from the home-grown carmaker, will soon receive a special edition called Tata Harrier Dark Edition. While the official price of the new model is yet to be announced, a report claims that it will be priced at Rs 16.75 lakh. The Tata Harrier Dark Edition looks sportier than the regular model, thanks to its black treatment. Based on the fully-loaded XZ trim, the special edition gets exclusive Dark badge, grey headlamp bezels, black door handles, black front and rear skid plates and 17-inch Blackstone alloy wheels. The new model has Atlas Black exterior paint scheme.
Interior has been revised with Benecke-Kaliko Blackstone leather seats with contrasting grey stitching. The dashboard and door panels are painted in Blackstone Matrix shade. It’s packed with all the comfort and safety features offered on the Harrier XZ trim including an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, cruise control, automatic headlamps, 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, engine start/stop and more. No changes have been made to its engine. The Tata Harrier Dark Edition uses the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that does duty in the regular model. Paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, this gasoline unit pushes out a maximum power of 138bhp at 3,750rpm against 350Nm between 1,750-2,500rpm.
