Earlier this year, the carmaker introduced the BS6-compliant Tata Harrier with more powerful engine and automatic gearbox. The SUV’s updated model comes with a 170bhp, 2.0L Kryotech diesel engine along with features such as larger, dual-tone diamond cut alloys, a factory-fitted sunroof, 6-way adjustable powered driver seat, auto dimming interior rear view mirror, new trim on the dashboard and a new Calypso Red colour scheme.

In the coming months, the carmaker might also introduce Tata Harrier petrol model. The SUV’s new petrol variant will come with a new 1.5L turbocharged unit benefited with direct injection technology. It’s likely to deliver power close to 150bhp. The same gasoline motor will also be offered on the upcoming Tata Gravitas 6/7-seater SUV model lineup. Reports suggest that the Tata Harrier petrol and Gravitas will also receive automatic gearbox at a later stage. The new petrol-automatic models will come with paddle shifters and a ‘Sport’ mode.
