Tata Harrier premium 5-seater SUV, which is slated to launch on 23rd January, has been named as the lead car for the Tata Mumbai Marathon. The event will take place on 20th January, 2019. The SUV will also be showcased at multiple locations in the economic capital of India including Tata AIG, TCS and BNP Paribas. Customers will get an opportunity to check out the scale model of the Tata Harrier in and out.
Official bookings for the Tata Harrier have been commenced in October, 2018. Buyers can pre-book the SUV for a token amount of Rs 30,000. The bookings can be made at any authorized Tata Motors dealership or online on Harrier’s official website. The Tata Harrier underpins the OMEGA platform derived from the Land Rover Discovery Sport. It’s the first car in its segment to offer Terrain response model that reconfigures the ESP (electronic stability program) as per the driving mode – Rough, Wet and Normal. At the engine front, the Tata Harrier gets a 2.0L, four-cylinder Kryotec diesel engine that meets the upcoming BSVI emission norms. It makes power worth 140bhp with 350Nm of torque. Transmission on offer is a 6-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker will introduce the petrol variant and automatic gearbox on the SUV carline at a later stage.
