Tata Harrier 7-Seater SUV: New Details Emerge

The Tata Harrier 7-seater SUV will look different from the 5-seater model.

Tata Motors has confirmed that the Harrier’s 7-seater version (codenamed Tata H7X) will make its way later this calendar year. While the launch of Tata Harrier 7-seater is months away, a few details of the SUV have been emerged on the web. According to a latest media report, the SUV’s bigger version will look different from the 5-seater model. Though, both SUVs will share the platform – i.e. OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced).

Unlike the 5-seater version, the Tata Harrier 7-seater will have 62mm longer rear overhang and a larger rear-quarter glass instead of the ‘pinched’ styled window line. It will also get roof rails giving it a rugged appeal. The bigger SUV will measure around 4,660mm in length. Some significant changes will also be made at the front and rear end of the SUV.

Interior, however, will be largely identical to the 5-seater model. Though, it will have an additional third row seat along with features such as rear AC vents (for third row passengers) and USB charging points, cooled cup holders. Read – Tata To Launch 4 New Cars This Year

Under the hood, the Tata Harrier 7-seater SUV will house a more powerful 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine generating top power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The bigger version of the Harrier will carry a different nameplate that will be revealed near its launch. Compared to the 5-seater model, the Tata Harrier 7-seater will be priced slightly premium. It’s estimated to be around Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the smaller SUV that might come within the price range of Rs 16 lakh – Rs 21 lakh (on-road).
