Tata H7X Teaser

The Tata H7X SUV will feature a coupe styled rear and bold stance.

Tata Motors has dropped the first teaser of the H7X 7-seater SUV ahead of its global debut at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 5, 2019. The teaser not only confirms that the OMEGA platform based SUV is coming to GIMS, but shows its silhouette as well. Similar to the Harrier 5-seater, the Tata H7X will feature a coupe styled rear and bold stance.

The latest spy pictures of the Tata H7X confirm that the Tata Harrier 7-seater SUV will share most of its styling elements with its 5-seater sibling. Though, it will be longer and taller and get some additional features including running boards, roof rails and sporty body cladding. The 7-seater version will also have third row of seats with adequate headroom and legroom. Read – Tata Blackbird SUV To Challange Hyundai Creta

The Tata H7X SUV will also feature a larger windshield and a new boot lit. The 7-seater SUV will get a cool ‘pinched’ window line instead of a large rear-quarter glass. Inside, the vehicle might get AC vents for third row passengers, USB charging slots, a sunroof with reclining function and cooled cup holders.

For power, the Tata H7X SUV will make use of a BS6-ready 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine generating a maximum power output of 170bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm. The SUV carline will come with two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. Read – Tata Harrier 7-Seater To Be Named ‘ Tata Buzzard’?

The production version of the Tata H7X SUV will hit the Indian shores by the end of this year. It will face challenge from cars like Honda CR-V and the upcoming MG Hector. It’s estimated to be priced around Rs 2,000 – Rs 3,000 premium than the Harrier 5-seater – i.e. between Rs 12 lakh – Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
