Tata Motors had commemorated its 20 years of participation at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. At the event, the carmaker unveiled its all-new Tata E-Vision sedan concept. After the 45X premium hatchback and H5X SUV concepts, the Tata EVision is the third product from the home-grown carmaker based on its new-generation IMPACT 2.0 design language. This saloon will be the company’s flagship model in the Indian market, but not the electric version.

The electric derivative of the Tata EVision sedan is based on the company’s Omega platform or Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture developed with collaboration of Jaguar Land Rover. Though, the India-spec Tata EVision sedan (contemporary fuel version) will make use of the AMP (Advanced Modular Platform) that will also underpin the 45X premium hatchback. The latter one made its world debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo alongside the H5X SUV concept.

Tata EVision Exterior

Previewed at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the Tata EVision sedan concept is a design study that represents scalability and flexibility of the Omega architecture. This platform will be used to equip electric powertrains and new age interior for Tata’s future electric vehicles. Similar to the Tata H5X SUV and 45X hatchback concepts, the Tata EVision features the brand’s new-generation IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.

Face of the new Tata sedan seems inspired by the 45x hatchback concept that had its world premiere at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The EVision sports sleek LED headlamps flowing from the front grille similar to its hatch sibling. Though, the grille has grown in proportion and features brushed aluminium. One can notice the signature characteristics of the new-gen IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy such as more prominent three-dimensional ‘Humanity Line’ designed in brushed aluminium, tri-arrow fog lamps, strong fenders and class-leading wheel sizes are clearly visible on the concept. Check Out – Upcoming Tata Cars in India

In the concept version, Tata generously uses top-quality wood and materials that enhance its premium feel and appeal. The production model might stay close to the showcased version. Features such as floating dashboard with minimalist design, light colour theme, dual instrument screens, full adjustable rear seats further enhance its futuristic look. The sedan also gets predictive energy management systems based on live traffic and routes.
