Tata Curvv EV – ‘Digital’ Design, New-Gen Platform, Range 400-500km

Tata Motors recently unveiled the all-new Curvv EV mid-size SUV concept in the country. The automaker has confirmed that its production-ready model will be first introduced as a pure electric car, which will be followed up by petrol and diesel versions. Here, it will be positioned against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. Though, the mid-size SUV EV coupe won’t arrive before 2024.

Here’s a digital rendering that previews the production-ready version of the Tata Curvv three-row SUV. Unlike the concept that has a curved roofline and a notchback-like boot, the rendered model features a SUV-ish sloping roof with sporty black roof rails. The heavily raked front windshield, more upright hood and slightly different alloy wheels further distinguish it from the concept. It comes with triangular air vents and full-width LED light bar.

The Tata Curvv SUV concept will be designed on Tata’s Generation 2 EV architecture that’s compatible to different body styles and powertrains. It’s essentially the modified version the Nexon’s platform. It previews the brand’s new ‘Digital’ Design language that will also be used in Tata’s future SUVs.

The Curvv SUV concept has a sculpted front bumper with black element running across the width and triangular housings for the headlamps. Some of its other design highlights include squared-off wheel arches, blacked-out side claddings, digital ORVMs and tinted sunroof. Read – Tata Could Launch A New 4WD Electric SUV In India

Interior of the Tata Curvv electric SUV concept looks futuristic. Designed with minimalistic approach, the model features a three-layered dashboard with LED light strip running the girth of the cabin, two free-standing digital screens (one for infotainment system and one for instrument cluster) and a new-gen steering wheel with a backlit logo. You can notice a rotary knob for multiple drive modes integrated on the centre console. The automaker hasn’t yet revealed feature details of its upcoming electric coupe SUV.

The company has confirmed that the Curvv EV will have a battery pack larger than the Nexon’s 30.2kWh battery. It’s production-ready model will deliver a range of 400-500km.
