Tata Gravitas Crash Test Prototype Spotted For The First Time

We have seen multiple spy pictures of the Tata Gravitas revealing its exterior and interior details. This time around, however, the 7-seater SUV was spotted wearing crash test clothing. Usually, the crash test prototypes have special exterior coating for data analysis, efficient recognition and real-time assessments.

Just so you know, the Tata Gravitas is the 7-seater version of the Harrier that will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Tata Gravitas has an extra row of seat for accommodating more occupants. Its front fascia will share resemblance to the Harrier. Though, it will have roof rails and extended rear section. While the official feature details of the SUV are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to get more comfort goodies and safety fitments than Harrier.

Powering the Tata Gravitas will be the Harrier’s 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai. The company will tweak the oil burner for generating power worth 170bhp with 350Nm of torque. The 7-seater SUV will offer multiple driving modes like Harrier.
