8. Tata Tigor Electric
The Tata Tigor EV is the first electric car from the home-grown carmaker that rolled out from the company’s Sanand plant in Gujarat. These electric units will be supplied to the state-run EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Ltd.). The company will procure a total of 10,000 EVs to the government body, which have been quoted the lowest price of Rs 10.16 lakh (excluding GST). The Tigor electric will make its public debut by sharing floor with other Tata cars at Auto Expo 2018. Engine details of the sedan are yet to be revealed. Having said that it might derive its power from a liquid-cooled 85kW electric motor that’s good for 200Nm of torque. It’s the same powerplant that does duty in the Tiago electric. No changes have been made to the design and features of the car. Though, it will feature EV badge on the front grille and rear profile.
