2018 Auto Expo was surely bigger, better and more exciting than ever. The event was full of futuristic concepts, technologies as well as odd racing machines. Though, it was Tata’s podium that attracted galore among visitors. The home-grown carmaker not only unveiled a range of exciting new cars, but showcased its capabilities and mobility solutions as well. The company also revealed its new IMPACT Design 2.0 design language along with 26 mobility solutions across its passenger and commercial vehicles. 1. Tata H5X
Tata H5X premium SUV concept was the most attractive model at Tata Motor’s pavilion. Appreciated for its muscular stance and aggressive styling, the concept previews the company’s upcoming production SUV. It also marked debut of Tata’s new IMPACT Design 2.0 design language. The H5X is also one of the first Tata cars that has been designed with joint efforts of JRL and Tata’s three design studios. Furthermore, this premium SUV shares its platform (L550) with the Land Rover Discover Sport. Some of its design highlights include Tata’s signature humanity line connecting the headlamps and front grille, ‘tri-arrow pattern’ fog lamps, pronounced wheel arches and 22-inch wheels and sloping roofline.
Tata H5X At Auto Expo 2018
The carmaker has confirmed that it will have segment-leading HMI (Human Machine Interface) screens with highly responsive user interface. While the platform is shared with the Land Rover Discover Sport, the powertrain will be borrowed from the Jeep Compass. The SUV is likely to come with the 140bhp, 2.0-litre Multijet turbocharged diesel engine. With 5-seats arrangement, the H5X SUV will take on the Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500.
