Tata Altroz Specifications

Recently, the home-grown carmaker also trademarked the Tata Timero name for its upcoming product that’s expected to be used for the HBX concept based mini SUV. Slated to launch early next year, the Tata HBX (Timero) will take head-to-head against the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Mahindra KUV100. Reports suggest that the new Tata mini SUV will be offered with the naturally-aspirated and turbocharged version of the 1.2L petrol engine. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are likely to be offer.

Talking about the Tata Gravitas, the upcoming 6/7-seater SUV will be based on Harrier’s platform and share several components with its younger sibling. Though, it will receive noticeable cosmetic changes along with a set of new features. Furthermore, it will be bigger and more spacious than the Harrier. Powering the SUV will be the Fiat-sourced 2.0L diesel engine making 168bhp and 350Nm. The Gravitas can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The home-grown carmaker will also give a generation change to the Tata Tiago, Tigor and Nexon in coming years. All three models will switch to the brand’s new Alfa platform. Besides this, the company will introduce the turbo petrol engine and a new DCT automatic gearbox to the Altroz, Harrier and Tiago model lineup.
