Tata Altroz Unveiled – Specifications, Features, Launch Details
Tata Altroz premium hatchback has finally been unveiled for the Indian market. Official bookings for the vehicle will begin from tomorrow (4th December 2019). Interested buyers will be able to pre-book the hatchback by paying a sum of Rs 21,000. Engine setup of the Tata Altroz includes three BS6-compliant motors – a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a detuned version of the Nexon’s 1.5L, 4-cylinder diesel. The oil burner delivers a claimed power of 90PS with 200Nm of torque, the 1.2L petrol returns power worth 86PS with 113Nm.
All engines are paired to 5-speed manual gearbox. The Tata Altroz offers two driving modes – Eco and City. The overall length, width and height of the hatchback measured at 3990mm, 1755mm, 1523mm respectively. It sits on a 2501mm long wheelbase. On the safety front, the Tata Altroz offers dual airbags (standard), ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, ISOFIX, child locks, immobilizer, perimetric alarm system, front fog lamps with cornering and rear defogger.
Tata equips the Altroz premium hatchback with lots of comfort and connectivity features as well. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, voice commands, a 100W Harman audio system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, steering mounted controls, 4 way adjustable driver seat and many more.
