Tata Altroz will make its India debut next month.
Tata Motors has updated the official website of its upcoming premium hatchback – Altroz. The teasers reveal new design and interior details of the vehicle. Upfront, the hatchback will carry sweptback headlamps with a chrome insert along the lower edge. The blacked out window frames and gloss black ORVM surrounding with chrome trim will enhance to its sporty looks.
The new Tata hatchback will also receive frameless wiper blades and diamond cut alloy wheels. The latter could be reserved for the top-spec trim. Inside, the Tata Altroz will have dual-tone interior theme. The AC vent with chrome surround and interior door lock with chrome finish add a premium touch. Official engine details are yet to be announced by the carmaker. Though, it’s likely to be offered with three engine options – 85bhp, 1.2L petrol, 102bhp, 1.2L turbocharged petrol (carried over from the Nexon) and a 1.5L turbocharged diesel. Tata Altroz is essentially the production model of the 45X concept that broke cover at the 2018 Auto Expo. The carmaker revealed its close-to-production version at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The Altroz is now ready for its India debut that will happen next month (July), followed by its launch. Expected to be priced from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh, the new Tata hatchback will rival Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Toyota Glanza.
