Tata Altroz Launched At Rs 5.29 Lakh; Undercuts Baleno, Elite i20
The long wait for the all-new Tata Altroz has finally come to an end, as the home-grown carmaker has launched the premium hatchback in the country. Based on the new Alfa platform, the Altroz has been made available in five trims – XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ (O) – with BS6-compliant 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotroq diesel engine options.

It offers two driving modes – Eco and City. The petrol variants of the hatchback are priced from Rs 5.29 lakh to Rs 7.69 lakh, and the diesel models cost between Rs 6.99 lakh – 9.29 Rs lakh. Feature-wise, the Tata Altroz is packed with lots of comfort goodies such as auto climate control, rear AC vents, one touch auto down window (driver’s side), front and rear armrests, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6-speaker Harman audio system, keyless entry, push-button start-stop, rear parking sensors with reverse camera, cooled glove box and more.
Dimensionally, the new premium hatchback from Tata measures 3990mm in length, 1755mm in width and 1523mm in height with a 2501mm long wheelbase. Recently, the Tata Altroz achieved 5 star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests.
It offers dual airbags (standard), ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, ISOFIX, child locks, immobilizer, perimetric alarm system, front fog lamps with cornering and rear defogger.
