Besides the performance-oriented engine, the Tata Altroz JTP will receive a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With this, the Altroz will become Tata’s first vehicle to get the DCT gearbox. The automatic wet-clutch unit will be sourced from Punch Powertrain.

In terms of handling and drivability, the Tata Altroz JTP is likely to be better than the regular model. The carmaker might tune its suspension setup to enhance its comfort quotient. There is no official word about its launch. Though, it’s reported to go on sale during 2020 festive season.
