Tata Altroz Interior Details Revealed In New Spy Pictures
We have already seen multiple spy pictures and teasers of Tata’s upcoming Altroz hatchback. Recently, a couple of interior pictures of the vehicle have emerged on the web suggesting that the spotted model is the fully-loaded XZ trim. The pictures show that the Tata Altroz will have a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The new hatchback from the home-grown carmaker will feature dual-tone Beige and Black upholstery. The leather wrapped, flat bottom steering will have mounted control buttons. The body coloured bezels around the AC vents and blue coloured ambient lighting will enhance its premium feel.
Features such as climate control, cruise control, a digital analogue instrument cluster and 12V charging port at the front will add to its comfort and convenience quotient. The drive modes button will be placed below the gear lever.
Other highlights will include a multilayered dashboard, keyless entry and a 7-inch TFT display. At the safety front, the Tata Altroz will get the reverse parking camera, dual airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) as standard fitments.
Both petrol and diesel powertrain options will be offered on the hatchback lineup. The petrol variant might use a 1.2L turbocharged motor that’s good for 108bhp and 170Nm and the diesel trims will get a 1.5L Revotroq unit delivering 108bhp with 260Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic unit.
Once launched, the Tata Altroz will take head-to-head against the Maruti Suzuki Blaneo, Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo. Its prices are likely to start from Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker will also bring in the electric iteration of the Altroz hatchback in India that was first previewed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
