The latest actor to buy a sumptuous vehicle is the ‘Pink’ actor, Taapsee Pannu who recently reprised Rambha’s role in ‘Judwaa 2’. Celebrating the success of her recent blockbuster, Taapsee has purchased a brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLE. Sharing her excitement with fans, the Pink actor posted some pictures of her new car on Instagram with a caption which read ‘ Let’s welcome the new member in our family ‘Maregaret’ you beauty! GiftYourself#BlueEyedBeauty”. Interestingly, Taapsee has named her new blue painted GLE ‘Margaret’. The mid-size SUV from the German carmaker is currently available at a price point of Rs 64.06 lakh for the entry-level variant which goes up to Rs 74.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Engine options on the GLE carline comprises a 2.1-litre in-line four-cylinder oil burner with maximum power of 201bhp against 500Nm torque. The range topping 350d variant sources power from the V6 oil burner that puts out 255bhp and 620Nm torque. Initially available only in diesel option, the SUV received a petrol version in India last year on the top-spec 400 trim that uses a 3.0-litre V6 engine with 245bhp and 480Nm torque. The carline gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox along with a standard MATIC All-Wheel Drive system.
Prominent bits on the SUV include a LED headlamp cluster with intelligent Light system, LED taillamps, leather upholstery and ambient lights. It additionally gets three-zone climate control, multiple driving modes, AIRMATCI package, cruise control, adaptive damping system and an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
