Suzuki, the Japanese two-wheeler automaker had discontinued the Swish scooter from the Indian market in April, this year. The reason behind discontinuation of this scooter wasn’t revealed by the maker, but it is expected that the low demand could be the reason. The Japanese two-wheeler maker is now planning to launch the new Suzuki Swish 2018. The new model will make its world debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, which is scheduled to be commenced from 25 October to 5 November.
The company has also released one picture of the scooter, revealing that it gets an all-new bodywork design. It looks much sharper and sleeker than the previous model. The headlight is now mounted on the apron and the lighting system looks like all LED. It comes with a raised pillion seat along with split grab handles. It is expected that the Suzuki Swish 2018 will be powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder engine that also powers the Access 125. This SOHC engine churns out 8.7PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque. New Suzuki Swish 2018 Launch
The new Swish will make its global debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, which is scheduled to be held from October 25 to November 5. The scooter is expected to go on sale in the Japanese market by the end of this year. For Indian market, the new Swish could be launched in early 2018. A possible launch at the 14th edition of Delhi Auto Expo can’t be ignored.

It is expected that the new Swish will get the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that also powers the Access 125. This engine is capable of producing 8.7PS of maximum power at 7,000rpm along with a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. It is coupled to a CVT automatic gearbox. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of telescopic forks at the front and single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the scooter gets a disc and drum brakes at the front and rear, respectively.

New Suzuki Swish 2018 Design
The new Suzuki Swish gets an all-new design, which is sharper and angular than the previous model. With sleeker design elements, the new model looks aggressive. Instead of handlebar mounted headlights, the new swish has newly designed headlights mounted on the apron. The turn indicators are placed next to the headlight, which gives it an all-LED like impression. At the back, the scooter has nicely integrated tail light and rear indicator. The raised pillion seat and split grab handles are likely to improve the overall comfort. The scooter is likely to get newly designed 10-inch alloy wheels. There are faux air intakes on the front cowl and the apron, which gives it a sporty feel.
