Japanese carmaker Suzuki unveiled the iV-4 compact SUV concept model at the ongoing 2014 Beijing International Motor Show. Suzuki iV-4 was first unveiled at the last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. It was speculated to make its Indian debut at the 2014 Auto Expo; however, the company showcased the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross.
The Suzuki iV-4 compact SUV concept model is designed to offer a true off-roading feel as well as urban comfort to its buyers. The four-wheel drive version of the iV-4 SUV concept will feature the All Grip 4×4 system which provides the proper off-road deeds by adding good electronic and mechanics. The company also aims to keep its weight low to offer high efficiency, low emissions and prompt driving dynamics.
The Suzuki iV-4 Compact SUV concept measures 4,215mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,665mm of height, and it has a large wheelbase of 2,500mm. The production of the iV-4 concept model will start at Magyar plant in Hungary and will first go on sale in European markets in 2015.
