Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has launched the new Suzuki Hayabusa 2018 in the Indian two-wheeler market at Rs 13.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2018 Edition is available in two new colours – Pearl Mira Red/Pearl Glacier White and Glass Sparkle Black. This model will also be unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, which will commence from February 7.

Suzuki’s Hayabusa, also known as the ‘Ultimate Sportbike’, enjoys a huge fan following among the big-bike enthusiasts in India as well. This popular model became Suzuki Motorcycle India’s first ‘Made-in-India’ big bike in 2017. It is powered by a 1340cc, in-line 4-cylinder fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that delivers a broad wave of torque for effortless acceleration. This engine is capable of producing 197bhp of power and 155Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The Hayabusa is imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kits and is assembled at the SMIPL factory in Manesar, Gurugram. The Hayabusa is available across all Suzuki Big-Bike dealerships for INR 13, 87,623 (ex-showroom Delhi). Talking about features, the new Suzuki Hayabusa 2018 gets Suzuki drive mode selector, forged pistons and PVD-coated rings, dual throttle valve, Brembo monobloc front brake calipers, lightweight high-performance ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), inverted cartridge front forks, IRIDIUM spark plugs and bridgestone tyres and rear brake. In terms of proportions, the new Suzuki Hayabusa 2018 is 2,190mm in length, 735mm in width and 1,165mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,480mm. The motorcycle comes with a ground clearance of 120mm and has a seat height of 805mm. It has a kerb weight of 266kg and 21.0-litres of fuel tank. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 120/7-0ZR17M/C front and 190/50ZR17M/C rear tyres.
