September 5, 2016 – Suzuki Motorcycle has introduced a new edition of its highly popular street bike – Gixxer – in the country. Called the Suzuki Gixxer SP edition, this new edition is available on naked ‘SP’ and fully faired ‘SF’ variants. While the naked version is priced at Rs 80,726, the Gixxer SF Special edition is tagged at Rs 88,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special edition versions come in an exclusive new colour scheme and new body graphics that add to the sporty appeal of the motorcycle.
Both the Gixxer SP and Gixxer SF SP editions are available exclusively in the rear disc brake versions, and equipped with classic race inspired graphics with newly styled Gixxer SP emblem. Adding to it, the SP editions also get maroon coloured seat and clear lens LED taillights. Both the special editions are available in Matt Fibroin Grey or Glass Sparkle Black (AR4) colour schemes.

The new Gixxer edition, with upgraded body graphics and an exclusive colour option, is slightly premium than the regular model. While the naked Gixxer SP edition is priced at Rs 80,726, the Gixxer SF SP edition is tagged at Rs 88,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Currently, the Suzuki Gixxer comes powered by a 154.9 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that serves a maximum power of 14.5bhp and 14Nm of torque. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, it delivers an impressive mileage of 64 kmpl. Unlike the regular model that comes fitted with only front disc brake, the Suzuki Gixxer SP edition will have the disc brake at the rear as well. The fully faired Gixxer SF edition will be equipped with 266mm front disc and 240mm rear disc bake.

The company has also introduced the Gixxer SF-Fi fuel injected variant, which was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. This new fuel injected variant will be made available at select cities and dealerships, and in the MotoGP edition colour.
