Suzuki Motorcycle India that recently introduced Gixxer SP and SF carburetted versions, has now added one more edition to the model lineup. Called the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI (Fuel Injected), this new model is made available in 9 select cities as of now – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Ahmedabad. Priced at Rs 93,499 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Gixxer SF FI is Rs 4,642 pricier than the Gixxer SF carburetted version.
One must note that the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI will be available only in the Moto GP edition, thus featuring decals and body colour from Suzuki’s MotoGP race bikes. Similar to the carburetted version, the Gixxer SF FI is powered by the 154.9cc, single-cylinder SOHC engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This power mill develops 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This new model has leaving electric start instead of a kick start system. The fuel injection technology not only eases start-up engine, but improves its fuel efficiency and throttle response as well.
The Suzuki SF FI edition features new ‘Gixxer SP’ badge, classic race inspired graphics and rear disc brake. Just like its carburetted counterpart, the SF FI version is being made available in two colour options – Glass Sparkle Black (AR4) and Matt Fibroin Grey.
