Suzuki Motorcycle, the Japanese two-wheeler maker will launch the much-awaited fully faired Suzuki Gixxer SF in the Indian two-wheeler market on April 7, 2015. Based on the successful 150cc Gixxer, the Gixxer SF features a full-fairing. It will rival against the likes of 150cc Yamaha YZF-R15.
Necessary styling of the Suzuki Gixxer SF is similar to the naked version of the motorcycle. It will share features like fuel tank, side panels, grab rails and the tail piece with the naked Gixxer. The only difference between the two models is new fairing. The Suzuki Gixxer SF will be powered by the same air-cooled, 155cc, single cylinder engine that is good for 14.8PS of power and 14Nm of torque. With the addition of bike fairing, the bike will be heavier than the naked version. The company will tweak the engine to attain higher speeds, and to maintain performance and efficiency.
Its instrument cluster comprises of trip meter, adjustable shift light, gear indicator, and a clock. The suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear. The Gixxer SF is expected to be priced around Rs. 10,000 more than the naked version, which is tagged at Rs. 73,000.
