Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Leaked; Technical Specs Revealed
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is scheduled to be launched on May 20, 2019
Japanese two-wheeler maker, Suzuki will launch the much-awaited Gixxer 250 in the Indian market on May 20, 2019. We informed you earlier that the company will first launch the fully-faired Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 in the country, which will be followed by a naked version. Ahead of the launch, the new 250cc motorcycle has been leaked on the internet. The new bike will directly rival the Yamaha Fazer 250, Honda CBR250 and the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200.
Going by the picture, it is visible that the new motorcycle looks bigger and bolder than the SF 155. In fact, the new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 design is inspired by bigger Suzuki bikes and looks sportier than the Fazer 25. The motorcycle gets minimal badging and features a golden coloured engine head. It gets sporty, clip-on handlebars that give it an aggressive profile and forward leaning riding posture. The motorcycle gets compact fuel tank with sharp creases and can accommodate 12-litres of fuel.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 gets a double barrel exhaust finished in chrome. The motorcycle rides on 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 110/70 section tyre, while the rear wheel shod with 150/60 section tyre. The motorcycle gets split seat with grab rail for the pillion seat. In terms of proportions, the new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is 2,010mm in length, 740mm in width and 1,035mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,345mm. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 165mm, while the seat height stands at 800mm.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel injected, SOHC< 249cc engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 26.5PS at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 22.6Nm at 7,500rpm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The Gixxer SF 250 is claimed to have a kerb weight of 161kg. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of oil damped, coil spring telescopic front forks and swing-arm type mono-shock at the rear. The bike gets dual disc brakes with a dual-channel ABS system. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is expected to be priced around Rs 1.50 lakh.
