2017 Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition will receive two new shades – Metallic Matte Black and Matte Fibroin Grey.

Suzuki Motorcycle India introduced the Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition in September 2016. With an aim to give it a young sporty appeal, the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer has added two new shades on the scooter.  The new colour option, called Metallic Fibroin Grey (PGZ) and Metallic Matt Black colours (YKV) join the existing colour schemes of Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue No.2 (YBA), Candy Sonoma Red (YHL), Pearl Mirage White (YPA), Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey (PGZ), Metallic Sonic Silver (YD8) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB).

Commenting on the new colour offerings, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL, “Since its launch, the New Access 125 has been one of our most appreciated models. To celebrate monsoon and the upcoming festival season, we are introducing two new additional matte colours to widen the array of choices for our young customers. The new Matte shade variant is available only with the disc brake option. This new model comes with a price tag of Rs 59,063 (ex-showroom, Pan India). While the standard Drum brake version is priced at Rs 54,163, the Disc brake version costs Rs 57,488 (ex-showroom, Pan India). Prices do not include extended warranty, zero depreciation insurance and any accessories.

Design and styling of the new Access 125 Matte variant remains unchanged. The scooter features a maroon coloured leatherette seat cover, special edition logo, round shaped chrome mirrors and floor board in brown colour. Other key features include self-start, chrome-styled headlamps, mobile charging socket, analog-digital display, dual luggage hooks and one push central locking.

Braking power for the 2017 Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition comes from the same drum brakes (front and rear). The standard model continues to come with optional front disc brake. With a 1,265mm of wheelbase, the new Access measures 1,870mm in length, 655mm in width and 1,160mm in height. It has a seat height of 780mm, and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.6-litres. While the front tyre measures 90/90 with a 12-inch rim, the rear one has 10-inch rim with 90/100 section tyre.

The 2017 Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition sources its power from the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology. This motor is capable of making a maximum power output of 8.6bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. Delivering power to the wheels is a CVT gearbox that also helps it return a class-lading mileage of 64kmpl.

First launch in September 2016, the Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition came with minor styling updates over the regular model. The vehicle was unveiled at a Jack & Jones clothing fashion show. The Japanese two-wheeler maker formed a strategic partnership with Jack & Jones, and the show was organised by both the brands.
