2. Honda CRV
Joining our list of upcoming new SUVs at Auto Expo 2018 is new generation Honda CRV, which is already on sale in select international markets. The company has also showcased the new Amaze compact sedan and the long-awaited 10th generation Civic sedan. The new CRV comes with a 7-seat option. It features Honda’s new design language and a more spacious and better quality interior along with a pack of new comfort and safety features.
The new CRV comes equipped with sharper front-end design and looks bolder and more premium than the outgoing model. Upfront is the company’s signature grille with wing-shaped LED daytime running lights, wide and muscular fenders and sportier headlamps. The SUV gets the vertically positioned LED tail-lamps, short overhang and dual exhaust.
The new CRV sits on 41mm longer wheelbase and is claimed to offer 53mm better rear legroom and 2 cubic feet more luggage area. It is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with several connected car applications. Other features include dual-zone HVAC, remote engine start, driver seat with 8-way power adjustment, front seat with 4-way power adjustment, rear USB charging port, etc.
The new CRV 7-seater model is powered by a diesel engine, which is a new 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit. This engine is capable of producing 158bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
