Mahindra & Mahindra has silently launched the Ssangyong Rexton RX6 variant in the Indian car market. This mid-level variant is priced at Rs. 19.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company claims that this mid-level variant will fill the huge void between the entry level RX5 and top spec RX7 models. The vehicle is directly pitched against the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

Based on the consumer feedbacks, Mahindra introduced the Rexton RX6 in the country. This model gets high-end, luxurious features but it is only offered with a manual transmission option. The vehicle source several advanced equipment levels from the higher spec RX7 automatic variant. It is equipped with an 8-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat, memory seats and rear view mirrors, electrical sunroof, new touchscreen infotainment system with an inbuilt GPS system, rain sensing wipers and others. The RX6 sedan is offered in four exterior shades including sating white, moondust silver, volcano black and opulent purple.
The Ssangyong Rexton RX6 SUV gets the 2.7-litre, turbocharged ‘RX270 XDi’ diesel engine that produces 164PS and 340Nm of top torque. This engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.
