Tata Motors is working aggressively to revive its Nano brand in the Indian car market. The company is working on an all-new Nano diesel model which will be powered by 800cc diesel engine. The homegrown automaker recently upgraded the Nano with power steering and newly formulated interior. Now, the company is all set to launch the AMT version of Nano in the market.
Tata Motors recently developed automated manual transmission gearbox which will be seen on the Zest compact sedan and other Tata Models in the country. The Nano with AMT gearbox has been spied during its test rounds.
The Nano Twist Active AMT will also get updated exteriors. It features the open-able tailgate which helps in adding to its luggage carrying capacity. The front fascia sports black Tata’s smiling grille and fog lamps, while the headlamps get black outlines. Inside the cabin, the Nano AMT will feature an electric power assisted steering, new formulated instrument cluster and high quality plastic.
If media reports to believe, the new Nano will be powered by a new 3-cylinder engine that produces 67PS of power. The exact launch date of the vehicle is yet to be announced, but we expect it to be launched by the festive season.
