We reported earlier that Skoda will launch the new generation 2015 Fabia hatchback next year. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. This model, for the first time, the hatchback has been spotted during its test rounds.
The vehicle has been caught testing on the Nurburgring. This redesigned hatchback gets angular exterior design which resembles the new Skoda’s family look, just like the Rapid sedan. It comes equipped with a wider grille which is flanked by swept back headlamps, a newly formulated greenhouse and a sporty C-pillar. Also visible is the Rapid-inspired taillights and a stylish tailgate which accommodate spoiler.
The third generation Skoda Fabia will not run on Volkswagen Group’s popular MQB platform and it will continue to have the same underpinnings as the current model. It is likely to share its engine configuration with the facelifted Polo, which means a new 1.5-litre diesel and the 1.2-litre petrol engine.
