Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to launch the highly-rated Ciaz mid-sized sedan in the country. This model is scheduled to go on sale in September while the promotional activities for the sedan has already commenced. The production of the Ciaz has already started and the bookings for the sedan are likely to commence soon. Maruti Suzuki India has already started the promotional activity for the sedan, which feature Cool Cats driving the Ciaz. The production for the SX4 has already been discontinued. The Ciaz saloon will be positioned above the SX4 saloon and is expected to be equipped with several high end equipments. Dimensionally, this model is longer, wider and higher than other cars of this segment. The company has specifically worked upon the rear passenger space and offers good rear legroom.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The petrol version of the sedan will get the 1.4-litre K Series motor that produces 90PS while the oil burner is the 1.3-litre multi-jet motor that develops 90PS. Both the engines will be paired to manual gearbox as standard, while the petrol motor will also get an automatic option.
The Suzuki Ciaz will be equipped with trapezoidal chrome grille flanked by projector headlamps, new set of fog lamps, alloy wheels and aggressive lines running across the car. It is loaded with rear air conditioning vents, central locking, electrically adjustable ORVMs, multi-functional steering wheel and others. The top-spec model will get automatic climate control, touchscreen, rear park assist, keyless entry, push start and stop, ABS with EBD, airbags, etc.
