Japanese car manufacture Suzuki unveiled the pre-production Alivio sedan (aka Maruti Ciaz) at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show is gearing up to launch the production spec model in China next month. The same sedan with Ciaz badge will also go on sale in India in September, while the bookings for the model are likely to be commenced this month. The production spec Suzuki Alivio has been spotted at a parking slot in China.

We reported earlier that Suzuki is specifically worked upon the rear passenger space. The clear images of the rear has hit the web world, showing that the cabin is likely to offer a lot more comfortable rear seat experience to buyers. It is equipped with several high end features including 16-inch alloy wheels, push start/stop button, automatic AC with rear AC vents, multi-functional steering wheel, advanced infotainment system, ABS and EBD. The Chinese model features a full chrome grille flanked by sharp sweptback headlamps. Also visible are the chrome outlines for the foglight assembly, a sunroof, and dual exhausts mounted within the rear bumper, aggressive creases running across the side profile, etc. It will be powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder 16-valve petrol engine which is paired to a newly-developed 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
The Indian spec model will share its engine configuration with the Eriga MPV that means a 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine and the tried & trusted 1.3-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine will be paired to either five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
