We reported earlier that Mahindra will launch the Scorpio facelift in the country by the festive season. The Scorpio SUV facelift has been spotted several times during its test rounds, and this time the vehicle has spied again with fresh images giving us the important details of the vehicle.
Though the spotted vehicle was covered, it features a new hood scoop and a newly designed alloy wheels. Moreover, the facelifted Scorpio also features HID/projector headlamps instead of the regular bulbs. The grille and bumpers have also been redone to provide a refreshing look, and on closer look the vehicle seems inspired from the XUV500. The side profile of the SUV appears similar to the current generation model.
The interiors of the SUV also get changes as the steering wheel is directly sourced from the XUV500. However, the interior images of the SUV are not available; the media reports suggest that vehicle features newly designed Air-con vents with chrome embellishments, an upgraded music system and touchscreen infotainment system.
Under the hood, the updated Scorpio will continue to be powered by the 2.2-litre mHawk engine producing 120PS and a 2.5-litre m2DiCR engine that produces 75PS. Both the engines will be paired to either six-speed auto or five-speed manual transmission.
